The last few weeks have seen Bayern Munich’s name attached to several players all around Europe, as the Bundesliga champions look to bolster their roster ahead of the upcoming season.
That has led them to be interested in the likes of Kennet Eichhorn, among others, who recently snubbed the Bavarian giants in favor of a move to Bayer Leverkusen. This snubbing by the 16-year-old deprived Bayern Munich of a potential key piece of their club for years, given his age, but it appears that they’re closing in on another name for the seasons to come: Nathaniel Brown.

As reported by BILD’s Christian Falk, the German champions are in the latter stages of talks with Brown’s current club, Eintracht Frankfurt, in a move that could be in the range of €65 million, which would see Munich get themselves a defender for the future.
Brown was the target of a potential bidding war between Munich and the Premier League’s Manchester United, until it was reported on Wednesday afternoon that the Red Devils were slated to pull away from the exchange, not wanting to duke it out on the financial end with the German side, as reported by TEAMtalk’s Graeme Bailey.
The 22-year-old is going into the summer transfer window off a season that saw him be a pest for opposing teams on both ends of the pitch, recording 10 goal involvements, while making 34 interceptions, and winning out on an impressive 80 tackles across his 42 appearances with Frankfurt.
This work on the pitch has caught the eye of Julian Nagelsmann, as the former Bayern boss selected Brown to be a part of Germany’s camp for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which could provide him with an opportunity to show the world his talents and why he’s ripe for a move to Bavaria.
