Aston Villa have Parma goalkeeper Zion Suzuki on their radar if they have to replace Emiliano Martinez this summer, according to Fabrizio Romano. The Villa hero has been linked with a move away from the Villa Park club again, and Villans manager Unai Emery is preparing for life without him. Juventus want Martinez and are in talks with his representatives, but club-to-club talks have not started. Villa have been scouting Suzuki for several months, with two other options on their radar.

The 23-year-old Japan international was once linked with Manchester United and a move to the Premier League could be on the cards. The Villa target boasts ‘unbelievable reflexes’ and can also launch long throws for counterattack purposes. Suzuki is known for throwing balls 20 metres over the halfway line and the Villans could do with such a skill. He is also comfortable on the ball and Emery needs a ball-playing goalie to replace Martinez if need be.
