Andrew Thomas promises a more physical New York Giants offense in 2026

The New York Giants added a handful of talent on offense this offseason through free agency and the 2026 NFL draft.
New York’s offense could quickly emerge as one of the most underrated units in football in 2026. The Giants signed veteran wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. to a one-year deal, while also bolstering their ground game by signing former Baltimore Ravens fullback Patrick Ricard.
Ricard will play a critical role in the Giants’ run game throughout the 2026 campaign. The talented fullback has elite size and strength, and he should quickly begin creating space and opening holes for New York’s backfield.
Giants left tackle Andrew Thomas was recently asked about the physicality of the offensive unit as a whole. Thomas believes New York’s offense will be extremely physical this season, and the veteran credited Ricard with adding an extra boost to the group moving forward.
“We are going to be a physical offense,” he told Giants Huddle. “I know we are going to be a physical front. We got some big guys up front. We brought Pat Ricard in and he’s basically a really fast guard.”
Thomas is widely regarded as one of the top offensive linemen in football when fully healthy. Both Thomas and Ricard are physical players with elite athleticism, and the duo will play an essential role in the Giants’ offensive success this season.
New York’s offense could quickly emerge as one of the toughest and most physical units in the NFL this year, as Thomas and Ricard have proven capable of dominating on countless occasions in the past.
