Ryan Fox will be playing alongside Brooks Koepka at the RBC Canadian Open this week.

Fox enjoyed a fabulous 2025 PGA Tour season, winning twice, and he will defend one of his titles at Osprey Valley this week.

The 39-year-old finished 43rd in the FedEx Cup points list last season and, as a result, he qualified for all of the Signature Events this year.

However, Fox has struggled on the PGA Tour this season, with just one top-10 finish to his name in 11 events.

He will be hoping that a return to the course where he won the biggest title of his career to date will inspire him to rediscover his best form.

Meanwhile, Brooks Koepka will be hoping to secure his first PGA Tour win since his return from LIV Golf back in January.

Ryan Fox makes Brooks Koepka comment when asked about his new status in the game

When Fox won in Canada last year, Koepka was still playing on LIV Golf.

Now the New Zealander will tee it up with the five-time major champion at Osprey Valley this week.

Fox was asked by reporters in Canada on Wednesday whether he has noticed any big changes since his status in the game was elevated to another level last year.

And the man from New Zealand commented on his grouping with Brooks Koepka as an example of just how much things have changed for him.

Yeah, obviously this is different for me, Fox admitted.

This is the first one I’ve done in a year so, yeah, there’s a few more obligations with everything there. Also you kind of know you’re going to be in a marquee group as well.

Obviously I’ve got Nick Taylor and Brooks, which is a pretty big group Thursday and Friday.

So you kind of, I guess, are up for everything a bit more than what you are on a normal week. There’s just a bit more intensity there.

Obviously I’ve got pride in my performance and I want to have a good defense. I don’t know whether there’s more pressure there or not, but I do really want to play well this week because of it.

I think that there has to be a little of that for everyone as defending champion.

Ryan Fox delivers verdict on the current state of his game

Fox responded when asked by reporters on Wednesday to provide an update on where his game is at right now.

The game’s pretty close, the two-time PGA Tour winner said.

I feel like I’ve said that a lot this year. There was a lot of good signs last week at Memorial. I played pretty decent for the most part at the PGA.

I’ve just not really put everything together this year. There’s always something been wrong, whether I struggled with the putter, or last week I didn’t drive it great at Memorial.

So a week’s a long time in golf and hopefully I can figure out how to put it all together this week and as I said I like the golf course.

I think that helps a little bit where you feel comfortable around a place and it makes it easier to pick shots and commit to shots. So hopefully that helps me a little bit this week.
