Bud Coombs, a Maryland transfer outfielder and member of the Big Ten All-Freshman Team, announced his commitment to Vanderbilt baseball June 9, becoming the second member of the transfer class.
Coombs appeared in 30 games in 2026, hitting .360 with nine doubles and nine home runs in just 114 plate appearances. He had 23 walks and 22 strikeouts. He played all three outfield positions at Maryland but projects into a corner at Vanderbilt, where the Commodores are likely to lose both corner outfield starters in Braden Holcomb and Logan Johnstone.
