Charlotte Hornets 2025-26 player grades: Grant Williams

Grant Williams missed over half of the 2025-26 season for the Charlotte Hornets, recovering from an ACL tear, which caused him to make his season debut in January. Upon returning to Charlotte’s rotation, Williams played solid minutes off the bench, supplementing Charlotte’s thin frontcourt behind Miles Bridges.
During the year, Williams made 36 appearances, averaging seven points, 3.9 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 0.5 blocks and 0.5 steals in 19.8 minutes per game. While Williams’ field goal percentage was slightly lower (42.6%) than his career mark (45%), he shot well from 3-point range, converting on 38.8% of attempts. Unfortunately for Williams, at 6’7″, he’s quite undersized to be a power forward, especially considering that Miles Bridges and Moussa Diabate are relatively short for their positions as well. Considering this, Williams and Bridges could stand to benefit from Charlotte adding a bigger interior presence. Looking ahead to next season, Williams has one more year remaining on his contract before reaching free agency next summer.
