Real Madrid ready to stretch budget to €180 million for Florentino Perez’s ‘Galactico’ signing – Romano

Yesterday, word broke out that Bayern Munich’s Michael Olise is likely to be Florentino Perez’s star signing for the summer, and there has not been a moment of calm in Madrid since.
With the president announcing a €150 million budget for a mysterious star signing, Olise is one of the best-placed candidates both in terms of his talent and his position on the field.
After all, Real Madrid have lacked a quality right-winger for a long time now, and Olise’s arrival will make their attacking potency and danger manifold.
An extended budget
As reported by Fabrizio Romano in a recent update, Real Madrid and Perez are not limiting themselves to the €150 million promised by the president earlier this week.

In fact, Los Blancos are willing to go as high as €180 million in what comes as a massive update in the transfer saga. After all, the number is something almost irresistible at this point.
If it goes through, Olise will become Real Madrid’s most expensive signing in history, and by quite some margin.
Bayern Munich, however, are expected to reject any approaches and stand firm on its stance of keeping the player.
The moment Olise caught Perez’s eye
As part of the same update, Romano clarifies that Real Madrid will send their opening bid of €150 million for Olise on Tuesday, and it remains to be seen how Bayern Munich respond to an offer of that magnitude at their doorstep.

The young winger, however, is a top priority for Perez and seriously impressed him last season when Real Madrid took on Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League.
Over those two games, the winger reminded the president of some of the best players he has watched over the years and had at Real Madrid. He fell ‘in love’ with the Bayern Munich star.
Perez sees Olise as a true superstar and that he has all the qualities, statistics and the attitude of a superstar player. He is, thus, going all-in for his signing.
The acting president is thus already in conversations with intermediaries and key figures involved in the deal and is working hard behind the scenes. It remains to be seen what comes of the saga.
