Rapid fire segments used to be a great way to market athletes, but they have become rather cookie-cutter in this day and age. Similar answers tend to come up and underscore the ever-growing generational gap that exists in society. Jazzy Davidson added some welcome variety, however, and nicely showcased her personality in a short clip with the WSLAM X account. The USC women’s basketball star guard offered something for everyone.
Davidson bared her old soul by naming Michael Jordan and Dennis Rodman as the greatest NBA player and greatest defensive player of all-time, respectively. She displayed the utmost school pride, naming Lindsay Gottlieb as the best coach ever, dubbing the 1983-84 championship Trojans as the best basketball team ever (also mentioned this year’s USC team) and labeling the Galen Center as the best court on which she has ever played. The two-way force also gave a shout out to teammate Rian Forestier for her apparently excellent playlist skills during pregame hype sessions. The loyalty did not stop there.
When asked which team would win the 2027 NBA Finals, Davidson took a second to think before landing on the Milwaukee Bucks, the franchise that boyfriend and rookie forward Nate Ament calls home. Additionally, she crowned Maya Moore as the WNBA GOAT. The legendary forward made her Minnesota Lynx debut when Davidson was just 4 years old. The First-Team All-Big Ten selection respects the past and present, and most of all, she bleeds USC Cardinal and Gold.

Alongside fellow Trojans game-changers JuJu Watkins and Saniyah Hall, Jazzy Davidson is gracing the latest cover of SLAM Magazine, which she calls the greatest of all-time. USC women’s basketball is presently ranked No. 3 in the country and is eyeing a momentous season.
No. 9 is fully aware of what this program is chasing. She hopes to join that storied 1983-84 group in championship excellence. Davidson knows her history. Now, she intends to make it.
