The CIF Sac-Joaquin Section girls volleyball playoffs have arrived, with 17 San Joaquin County teams entering the postseason hoping to compete for a section championship.
First-round matches begin Tuesday, Oct. 27, followed by the quarterfinals Thursday, Oct. 29. The semifinals are scheduled for Nov. 3, with championship matches Nov. 7 at Cosumnes River College.
Before the first serve, here’s where each of the county’s playoff teams finished in league play.
San Joaquin Athletic Association: Tokay (first), Edison (second), Weston Ranch (third)
Tri-City Athletic League: St. Mary’s (first), Lodi (second), Tracy (third)
Valley Oak League: Manteca (first), Sierra (first), East Union (sixth)
Trans Valley League: Ripon (first), Escalon (third), Ripon Christian (fifth)
Western Athletic Conference: Lathrop (first)
Central California Athletic Alliance: Ben Holt College Prep Academy (first), River Islands (second)
Mother Lode League: Linden (third)
Mountain Valley League: Elliot Christian (first)
