Auburn golf beats UCLA, wins second national championship in three years

For the second time in three years, Auburn men’s golf has won a national title, beating UCLA in the championship round of match play Wednesday, June 3, at the Omni La Costa in Carlsbad, California.
It is the program’s second national championship, last landing major hardware in 2024 during star Jackson Koivun‘s freshman season.
Now a junior, Koivun put the Tigers one point away from eventually taking the title, beating UCLA’s Baylor Larrabee 4 and 3. Auburn freshman Jake Albert took the first point of match play, beating Tyler Loree 5 and 3.
Another Auburn freshman, Logan Reilly, was the one to clinch it, beating Alex Papayoanou for the title-winning point.
