Which new high school football coach did readers vote would have most wins presented by The Vance Law Firm

The Montgomery Advertiser asked its readers which new Montgomery-area high school football coach would have the most wins during the 2026 season.
The poll ran from July 12-16, with readers given the option to vote once every hour.
Montgomery Catholic coach Aubrey Blackwell claimed the poll presented by The Vance Law Firm. Blackwell is returning to the Knights after former coach Jonathan Chandler took the coaching job at Opelika.
Blackwell’s first hiring was a turning point for the program in 2015. After a 4-6 debut, Blackwell made five straight playoff appearances, capped by a trip to the 3A title game in 2020.
Blackwell won the poll with 98% of the total votes, beating out Saint James coach Hayden Stockton who received 1% of the total votes.
