Titans training camp preview: How many receivers will Tennessee keep?

It is now less than a week until rookies report to the Tennessee Titans‘ training camp, and some of the nagging offseason questions can finally get some answers. One area that raises some intriguing questions is the wide receiver position after a flurry of offseason activity.

The Titans were active, spending big money on Wan’Dale Robinson in free agency and then adding Ohio State wide receiver Carnell Tate with the fourth-overall pick in the draft. With those two moves, along with returning receivers Calvin Ridley, Epic Ayomanor, and Chimere Dike, Tennessee has a much deeper unit than it had in 2025.

Heading into training camp, those five receivers appear poised to take most of the snaps in some combination throughout the season, but behind them, there will be interesting battles to watch and to see which receivers step up and grab the final depth/special teams roles.

Bryce Oliver returns following a disappointing 2025 campaign, and his special teams prowess should give him an advantage early, but he will face some challenges from the likes of K.J. Osborn, Xavier Restrepo, Mason Kinsey, Lance McCutcheon, and Tyren Montgomery.

Osborn brings some NFL experience to the table and could be a viable depth piece heading into the season, and Restrepo had an outstanding offseason and showed the ability to make plays with whoever was taking snaps at quarterback.

With the Titans already five deep entering camp, it will be interesting to see how Robert Saleh, Brian Daboll, and general manager Mike Borgonzi decide to construct their initial 52-man roster. Will they decide to keep six, or even seven wideouts? At this point, six would seem likely with other needs on the offense, but that is what training camp is for.
