It’s quite clear now that Erling Haaland has become a fan favorite of the 2026 World Cup. The 25-year-old Norwegian striker has dominated the tournament with seven goals, has had some extremely fun celebrations on the pitch and has embraced mega viral fan memes comparing him to a famous Dragon Ball character.
And, much like many of you reading this, Haaland is also a big Grand Theft Auto fan.
We’re just months away from the release of Grand Theft Auto VI, the highly-anticipated sequel to Rockstar Games’ iconic video game series. GTA 6 — releasing on November 19 — is already causing incredible hype among fans as they await the third trailer for the game, with many theory crafting possible dates for the next look at what is slated to be the biggest game of the year.
This week, a clip of Haaland has been making the rounds on social media from one of his YouTube videos chronicling a day in his life. In it, Haaland talks about being a major video game fan, especially of series like Assassin’s Creed, Call of Duty and Grand Theft Auto. Haaland then expresses excitement over the upcoming release of GTA 6, even stating that if he could bring one thing if he were stranded on a desert island, it’d be a copy of one of the franchise’s games.
