NFL star Christian McCaffrey’s pushups trigger mixed reactions

Christian McCaffrey bounced back last season after he played only four games in the 2024 NFL campaign. He dealt with calf and Achilles injuries and visited an Achilles specialist in Germany for his Achilles tendonitis. The San Francisco 49ers running back returned to full strength in 2025 and showcased his conditioning this offseason.
The NFL posted a video of McCaffrey doing some pushups on X on Tuesday. However, he didn’t just perform regular ones as he executed a variation of resistance band pushups and swung his arms with each rep.

How did Christian McCaffrey perform last season?
McCaffrey appeared and started in all 17 of San Francisco’s regular-season games. He posted 311 rushing attempts for 1,202 yards and 10 touchdowns. The 30-year-old added 102 receptions for 924 yards and seven scores. He also played a key role in reaching the Divisional Round during the playoffs.
