Giannis Antetokounmpo shares heartwarming tribute to his Bucks career, Milwaukee
It’s been two weeks since the Milwaukee Buckstraded franchise icon and NBA all-timer Giannis Antetokounmpo to the Miami Heat. But two mere weeks in the middle of the NBA offseason is nothing compared to the 13 years of excellence, growth, and almost countless memories Antetokounmpo, the city of Milwaukee, and the Bucks experienced together.
And he knows it.
On Monday, Antetokounmpo took to his X profile to share an extended tribute video to the Bucks and Milwaukee. It documents his ascent from an awkward young player simply trying to make it in the NBA to an eventual MVP-caliber superstar, the NBA championship he and the Bucks won together in 2021, and, essentially, how he’ll always hold the Bucks and Milwaukee in his heart as he moves on to the next chapter of his legendary career in Miami.

Antetokounmpo might have moved on to South Beach, but the Bucks and Milwaukee are where he became a central, unforgettable figure in sports. Good for him for honoring such a formative time and important place in his life.
