Real Madrid forward informs teammates he is not considering exit; club calm amid growing uncertainty

Vinicius Jr. is enjoying one of the finest spells of his career with Brazil at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, but his outstanding performances have done little to change the uncertainty surrounding his contract situation at Real Madrid.
The Brazilian winger has been one of the tournament’s standout players, strengthening his credentials as one of the world’s elite footballers and even boosting his chances in the race for the Ballon d’Or.
Real Madrid remain calm
Despite Vinicius’ impressive form, Real Madrid have not altered their approach to his contract negotiations, reports AS.
Club officials remain relaxed about the situation and continue to follow the same policy they have adopted in recent years: the interests of the club come first, regardless of the player’s status.

Both Vinicius and his representatives are aware of Real Madrid’s position, while the club also understands the player’s expectations as discussions over a new deal continue.
Although there is no panic at Valdebebas, there is recognition that the current situation is far from ideal.
Club executives have questioned why players such as Vinicius have consistently produced outstanding performances for their national teams while failing to reach the same level together at Real Madrid over the past two seasons.
That belief has reinforced confidence that the squad possesses several of the world’s best players and that new head coach Jose Mourinho can unlock their full potential.
Vinicius not considering an exit
According to the report, Vinicius has already told teammates in the Brazil camp that he has no intention of leaving Real Madrid.
The 25-year-old remains confident that an agreement can eventually be reached and has no desire to pursue a transfer elsewhere.
Instead, he plans to hold further discussions with the club’s hierarchy once he returns from the World Cup before making any decisions about his future.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is expected to play a key role in the next stage of negotiations.
Throughout Vinicius’ time at the club, Perez has maintained a close relationship with the Brazilian, who appreciates the support he has received since arriving in the Spanish capital.
One noticeable difference during the World Cup has been Vinícius’ leadership role with Brazil, where he has occasionally worn the captain’s armband and embraced the added responsibility.
It is a role he would like to take on at club level as well. However, with his current contract entering its final stages, both player and club know that a resolution will eventually be needed, even if neither side appears willing to rush the process.
