A number of former Kentucky stars will play in the NBA summer league

The Kentucky Wildcats have produced a lot of NBA talent over the last few decades. That was especially true in the John Calipari era, but Mark Pope has also had some talent make it to the next level. Some of those players will get a chance to showcase their ability in this year’s NBA summer league.
This year’s summer league will feature play at three different locations, with the first beginning on Jul. 3 in San Francisco. Salt Lake City and Las Vegas will be the other two host sites, as usual. Those begin on Jul. 4 and Jul. 9 respectively.
So, who can Big Blue Nation look for in summer league action this year? Fifteen names were set to play, but Jayden Quaintance will be out due to injury. Here are the other 14 who will play, along with their team.
- Devin Askew – Phoenix Suns
- Brandon Boston Jr. – Milwaukee Bucks
- Koby Brea – Phoenix Suns
- Keion Brooks Jr. – Indiana Pacers
- Andrew Carr – Portland Trail Blazers
- Bryce Hopkins – Denver Nuggets
- Ugonna Onyenso – Detroit Pistons
- Otega Oweh – Oklahoma City Thunder
- Jaxson Robinson – Cleveland Cavaliers
- Adou Thiero – Los Angeles Lakers
- Jacob Toppin – Atlanta Hawks
- Lance Ware – New York Knicks
- TyTy Washington Jr. – Orlando Magic
- Amari Williams – Boston Celtics
Many of the summer league games will be televised, so Kentucky Fans will be able to follow along and see the progression of their former favorite players. Good luck to each of them.
