Josh Allen ranked No. 3 as Bills place 3 on CBS Sports' NFL Top 100

Josh Allen is one of the top three players in the NFL.
James Cook is running up the rankings.
CBS Sports ranked the Buffalo Bills quarterback No. 3 in its annual list of the NFL’s top 100 players entering the 2026 season, making him the league’s second-highest-ranked quarterback behind reigning MVP Matthew Stafford.
Cook made one of the biggest jumps in the rankings, checking in at No. 34 after being left off the list a year ago. Left tackle Dion Dawkins rounded out Buffalo’s three representatives at No. 78.
CBS Sports’ Pete Prisco ranked Allen behind only Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett and Stafford.
Allen finished ahead of quarterbacks Joe Burrow (No. 5), Patrick Mahomes (No. 7) and Lamar Jackson (No. 10).
“His numbers weren’t as good as the year before, but he still was one of the best in the league,” Prisco wrote. “He carries the Bills on his back. His numbers should go up this year with Joe Brady running things.”
After being left off CBS Sports’ Top 100 a year ago, Cook climbed to No. 34 following an All-Pro season in which he led the NFL with 1,621 rushing yards.
Cook has rushed for 28 touchdowns over the last two seasons while earning Pro Bowl selections in each of the past three years.
Prisco ranked Cook as the NFL’s fifth-best running back. Only Bijan Robinson (No. 17), Christian McCaffrey (No. 19), Jahmyr Gibbs (No. 21) and Jonathan Taylor (No. 32) finished ahead of him.
Dawkins checked in at No. 78 after earning his fifth consecutive Pro Bowl selection in 2025.
Prisco called Dawkins “the glue of a strong offensive line.”
