Joey Chestnut is back to defend his title.

The 16-time Mustard Belt winner returned to the Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest in 2025 after a year-long ban stemming from a sponsorship deal with vegan food producer Impossible Foods, and now he’s back at Coney Island looking to add to his record haul.

The annual event will once again be held on July 4 at Coney Island. It features a lot of returning faces, including 11-time women’s champion Miki Sudo.

Other contestants include 2024 men’s winner Patrick Bertoletti as well as Geoffrey Esper, James Webb and Nick Wehry.

Where to watch Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest 2026

Broadcast coverage of the 2026 Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest will air live on ESPN2 and ABC with Jeremy Schaap, Rich Shea and Marion Crowder on the call. The women’s competition will stream on ESPN+, which is available via the ESPN app. See the full broadcast schedule below.

Joey Chestnut won the men’s title in 2025, eating 70.5 hot dogs and buns in 10 minutes in his triumphant return to the contest.
