NY Mets vs Blue Jays live updates, score and analysis of today's game

TORONTO — The Mets are hoping that they can leave another frenetic month in the past as they close out a series against the Blue Jays on Canada Day on Wednesday.

The club gave back any momentum that they had earned last month as they finished June with a 10-17 on the way to firing Carlos Mendoza and trading away David Peterson.

The Mets will need to fix things and fast if they hope to not deploy a massive trade deadline sell-off, similar to the one enacted by then-general manager Billy Eppler orchestrated during the 2026 season.

The Mets will look to secure their first series in more than two weeks when they face the Blue Jays in the rubber game of their three-game series at 3:07 p.m. on Wednesday at Rogers Centre.

Freddy Peralta will be looking to continue to correct course after conceding 10 runs to the Phillies on June 20. The right-hander allowed three unearned runs on five hits and one walk in 5⅔ innings last time out.

The Blue Jays are countering with an opener as Braydon Fisher is set to make his 42nd appearance of the season. Fisher is 3-3 with a 3.48 ERA this season.
