Baseball: Oklahoma RHP Michael Catalano commits to TCU

The infusion of new talent through transfers continues for the TCU Horned Frogs, who gained a commitment from Oklahoma right-handed sophomore pitcher Michael Catalano. The 6-foot, 200-pounder from Frisco, Texas made 30 appearances and eight starts over his two seasons with the Sooners, registering a 4-5 record and a 6.11 ERA with 66 strikeouts and 23 walks over 56 innings thrown. As a freshman, Catalano went 1-1 with a 4.76 ERA over 19 relief appearances. He had 29 strikeouts and eight walks over 22.2 innings pitched.
Catalano’s commitment continues a massive roster overhaul for the Horned Frogs, whose pitching additions in the transfer portal include Oregon’s Collin Clarke, Tennessee’s Taylor Tracey, Saint Mary’s Cam Staton, GCU’s Nicholas Robb, Rhode Island’s Manny Santos, Mount St. Mary’s JB Manarchuck and McNeese’s Jaden Bahl.
