Jaylen Brown appears to be done with the Boston Celtics, as he wants to go to a team where he will be respected.

Until the 11th hour, when all trade talks collapsed, Brown was set to join the Milwaukee Bucks as the Boston Celtics looked to secure Giannis Antetokounmpo.

However, due to a variety of reasons, the deal never went through, and the Greek Freak was moved to South Beach instead.

Jaylen Brown likes post urging Celtics to trade him to a team that ‘respects’ him

Given the way things have played out over the last few weeks, before and after Giannis Antetokounmpo was traded to the Heat, any reports of Brown being disgruntled definitely hold merit.

But Brown is now not even taking the tactical approach and keeping his issues behind closed doors. On a recent Instagram post, one fan expressed his desire to see Brown get traded.

“Man, as a person who can’t stand the Celtics, I hope they do right by him by trading him to a city who respects him.”

This comment garnered a lot of attention, currently sitting at 161 likes. One of these likes came from Jaylen Brown’s own Instagram handle.

Clearly, Brown agrees with the sentiment this fan shared. Perhaps this could be a warning sign for the Celtics not to try and keep Brown in a situation where neither side is going to be happy.

Jaylen Brown being traded by the Boston Celtics is best for all sides

The relationship between the Celtics organization and Brown has deteriorated to an unexpected level in the last few weeks.

Brown was once the centerpiece for the Celtics, signing a then-record $285 million contract that made him the highest-paid player in the league.

The very next season, he led the Celtics to their first championship in 16 years. During this run, Brown was named both Eastern Conference Finals MVP and NBA Finals MVP.

But just two years later, the dynasty that many expected the Celtics to begin never came to fruition. And now, one of their best players in history is looking to leave the team.

It would be in the Celtics’ best interest to let Brown go the moment they get a decent offer. Elongating this situation and turning it into a trade saga will just be a distraction from everything else the two sides need to be focused on.
