Four-star DB Junior Tu’upo sets commitment date

The recruiting dominoes continue to fall and now we have a decision date for another high-priority recruit for the Texas Longhorns.
Four-star Alabaster (AL) Thompson defensive back Junior Tu’upo officially visited Texas in early June and was thought to be a tough pull from the state of Alabama with both Alabama and Auburn in pursuit. Following his trip to Austin, he gave rave reviews about his experience and even named Texas his leader following the visit.
Texas gaining traction following the visit to Austin was big plot development in this recruitment and now we have a decision date for Tu’upo, as he announced today he will be making his decision tomorrow afternoon.
Tu’upo is ranked as the 19th overall safety prospect in the country and the 12th-ranked prospect in the state of Alabama. While ranked as a safety, Tu’upo’s tape shows positional versatility in the secondary. which only adds to his value as a prospect.
Tu’upo’s decision is narrowed down to Alabama, Auburn, Indiana, Oregon, and Texas, with each program having the opportunity to host him for an official visit. He will be on the hot seat for a decision in a little over 24-hours.
