ACC baseball transfer commits to Tennessee

Louisville transfer pitcher Parker Detmers committed to Tennessee on Wednesday following the 2026 Tennessee baseball season, according to Pete Nakos of On3.
The 6-foot-4, 250-pound junior missed the 2026 season after having Tommy John surgery in 2025. He appeared in 18 games, including six starts, from 2024-26 at Louisville.
Detmers (3-2) recorded a 5.71 ERA and 32 strikeouts in 34.2 innings. He allowed 37 hits, 26 runs (22 earned), 18 walks, six doubles, one triple, two home runs, four wild pitches and hit five batters.
Detmers is from Glenwood High School in Chatham, Illinois and also played basketball. He was a a two-time All-State and three-time All-Conference selection.
As a senior, Detmers had a 7-1 record, 0.45 ERA and 77 strikeouts in 46.1 innings. He allowed 20 hits and three earned runs. Detmers also recorded a .324 batting average, seven doubles and four home runs.
