OKC Thunder lands Iowa guard Bennett Stirtz in 2026 NBA Draft pick trade with Grizzlies

The OKC Thunder is trading up to select Bennett Stirtz with the No. 16 pick in the 2026 NBA Draft.
OKC is sending its No. 17 pick and two future second-round picks to the Memphis Grizzlies in exchange for the No. 16 pick. ESPN’s Shams Charania first reported the deal.
Stirtz is a 6-foot-3 guard who can instantly provide 3-point shooting, an area of inconsistency for OKC. He went 35.8% from deep at Iowa this past season. He’s also a steady ball handler who can help with playmaking duties.
It has been a busy night for the Thunder, which first selected Michigan’s Aday Mara with the No. 12 pick. It still has the No. 37 pick as well.
OKC entered Tuesday with 14 players under contract. That included its three team options on Isaiah Hartenstein, Lu Dort and Kenrich Williams.
