France manager Didier Deschamps will miss Friday’s group-stage match against Norway due to the death of his mother, the French Football Federation announced Tuesday. He’ll be making the trip back home to attend the funeral and won’t be in Foxborough, Massachusetts, for a contest that will determine the winner of Group 1.
Friday’s match between France and Norway will determine the winner of Group I.
