June 23 (UPI) — The Milwaukee Bucks agreed to trade two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo to the Miami Heat through a six-player deal that also involves six draft picks.
Sources told ESPN, The Athletic and the Miami Herald that the Bucks agreed to send Antetokounmpo and forward Bobby Portis to the Heat in exchange for guard Tyler Herro, center Kel’el Ware, guard Kasparas Jakucionis, forward Jaime Jaquez Jr., two unprotected first-round picks in the 2031 and 2033 NBA Drafts, the No. 13 overall pick in 2026, a pick swap in 2030 and a second-round pick in 2033.

The Heat-Bucks trade is expected to be executed July 6, which could result in another team being involved in the deal. With the acquisitions, the Heat’s odds to win the NBA title improved to place them within the Top 5 expected contenders.
The Heat went 43-39 last season, when they failed to make the playoffs for the first time since 2018-19. The Bucks went 32-50 in 2025-26, when they failed to make the playoffs for the first time since 2015-16.
