Nate Ament ranked top 10 NBA draft prospect

The NBA draft will be held Tuesday and Wednesday at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, consisting of two rounds and 60 picks. The first round is scheduled for Tuesday (ABC/ESPN) and the second round will be held Wednesday (ESPN).

Ahead of the draft, Jeremy Woo of ESPN released the top 100 prospects. Tennessee freshman forward Nate Ament is ranked No. 9 overall in ESPN’s final rankings for the 2026 draft class.

“This process is informed by my own player evaluation and intel from around the NBA and college ranks, and it offers a representation of the available player pool and insight into executives’ and scouts’ views,” Woo said.

Ament played at Tennessee during the 2025-26 season and appeared in 35 games, including 35 starts. He averaged 16.7 points, 6.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists per contest.

Ament’s career high for points in a game was 29 against Oklahoma on Feb. 18. He also recorded career highs for rebounds (11) versus Vanderbilt on March 13 and assists (five) against Mississippi State on Feb. 11.
