Here are the Gators who were invited to 2026 MLB Draft Combine

The invitations to the 2026 MLB draft combine were sent out this week, with five current Florida Gators and four signees among those who earned the honor.
Right-handed pitchers Liam Peterson, Russell Sandefer and Luke McNeillie, along with infielder Ethan Surowiec and outfielder Kyle Jones, got the call out of Gainesville. Outfielders Kevin Roberts Jr. and Brady Harris, along with right-handed pitcher Brady Snow and left-handed pitcher Colin White, were the 2026 signees who received invites.
Peterson, a junior out of Palm Harbor, Florida, is ranked No. 14 overall in MLB.com’s draft rankings and is the highest-rated player from Florida, who “presents an exciting combination of now stuff and projection,” according to his scouting report.
Sandefer, a junior out of Tampa, Florida, is ranked No. 175 overall, and while he is “not the biggest right-hander in the world at 6-foot-1, (his) stuff could give him the chance to start.”
McNeillie, a junior out of Milton, Georgia, is ranked No. 183 overall. While he was not able to crack the starting rotation with the Gators, he is expected to get a shot as a starter in the pros. “His stuff is louder in shorter stints out of the bullpen, starting with a fastball that’s been 96-99 mph this year as a reliever,” his scouting report offers.
Jones, a redshirt sophomore out of Atlanta, Georgia, is ranked No. 127 overall and “has a solid approach at the plate with good bat-to-ball skills, walking nearly as often as striking out in his college career.”
Surowiec, a draft-eligible sophomore out of Gulfport, Mississippi, is not ranked and does not have an MLB.com scouting report. However, he was the only Gator to play and start in all 62 games this spring, leading his team in hits (78), batting average (.317), RBI (63), total bases (130) and at-bats (246).
Roberts Jr., who is ranked No. 128 overall and attended Jackson Prep (Mississippi), possesses a “combination of bat speed and the strength and leverage in his huge frame, (which) can produce tape-measure shots and high exit velocities.”
Harris, who is ranked No. 160 overall and attended Trinity Christian (Florida), is “considered one of the best high school position players in the country” who has “showed off glimpses of his considerable tools at nearly every event possible, including the Perfect Game National, both PG’s and MLB’s High School All-American Games, the East Coast Pro Showcase and the Area Code Game.”
Snow, who is ranked No. 168 overall and attended American Heritage (Florida), “is a slightly undersized right-hander who gives off some Sonny Gray vibes in terms of his body type,” and has “been up to 97-98 mph as his senior season wore on, showing he can maintain his velocity deep into starts.”
White, who is unranked by MLB.com, attended Dominion Christian (Georgia) as a prep and had a “huge performance this fall,” with his fastball reaching “up to 95 mph at PG Fall World Series,” and also has “a sharp slider, high ceiling arm with more innings,” according to his Perfect Game profile.
The 2026 MLB Combine will take place between June 23 and 26 at Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona — the home of the Arizona Diamondbacks. The 2026 MLB Draft will occur between July 11 and 13 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The deadline for prospects to return to college, if they so choose, will be July 27.
