The 2026 NHL Draft is right around the corner. The first round will take place on Friday, June 26, at the KeyBank Center in Buffalo, NY. Rounds two through seven will be held on the following day.

The Boston Bruins are loaded with draft capital. After Thursday’s trade, they control nine selections on the weekend.

Boston’s first selection will be in the first round with the 23rd overall pick.

Bruins 2026 draft picks: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th (SJS), 4th (DET), 4th (TB), 5th (MTL), 5th (SJS), 7th

Bruins 2026 draft position: 23, 56, 88, 104 (via SJS), 111 (via DET), 122 (via TB), 157 (via SJS), 216

ESPN’s Rachel Kryshak predicts the Bruins will target a right-handed defenseman in the early rounds of the draft.

“The Bruins have a glaring need for right-handed defensemen, and one has to believe they would have selected Keaton Verhoeff if Toronto’s pick had transferred. Alas, the Leafs won the lottery, and the Bruins still need right-handed defenders,” Kryshak wrote.

“The Bruins have one selection in each of the first three rounds and three selections in the fourth round, which should give them ample opportunity to add right-handed defenders to the organization. Tommy Bleyl, Juho Piiparinen, Giorgos Pantelas and Luke Shairer present good options at each of their selections.”
