Georgia’s nine-game winning streak, which began at the Southeastern Conference tournament, ended on Monday night with a 4-3 loss to unseeded Oklahoma. The Bulldogs fell behind 3-0 after one inning and were never able to tie the game. All three of their runs came via solo home runs, with Kenny Ishikawa going deep in the fourth, Brennan Hudson launching a homer in the fifth and Daniel Jackson making it a one-run game in the top of the eighth.

Texas bounced back from a loss to Georgia on Saturday to eliminate No. 7 seed Alabama 14-2 on Monday. Adrian Rodriguez hit for the cycle, just the third to do so at the College World Series, finishing 5-for-5 with seven RBI. Anthony Pack Jr. also homered for the Longhorns, who led 7-1 after just two innings. Ruger Riojas worked six innings, allowing two runs on six hits with seven strikeouts.

The winner of Tuesday’s game advances to face Oklahoma in a semifinal matchup on Wednesday, with the teams set to run it back on Thursday if Oklahoma loses the Wednesday game.
